About

How many heads does it take to come up with a great idea?

It actually takes an extremely creative, dynamic and forward thinking individual to know how to get the best out of a team. It takes someone with experience in every aspect of the design industry to guide them through today’s highly competitive marketplace. With over 20 years of experience behind, I offer a wide range of services to help meet your communication requirements. My design philosophy is very simple, find result-oriented creative avenues to showcase and promote products and services.

My biggest strength is the ability to get the big idea across visually and verbally through print and other media, with the use of strong design and presentation skills. I can adapt quickly to new environments and solve problems efficiently, thriving under high-pressure conditions to meet deadlines of the fast-paced design industry. My strengths lie in the typographic ability and excellent compositional skills. I have extensive practical knowledge of Macintosh-based systems and related software. I am a talented artist who possesses traditional drawing and rendering skills, and I always start my design process with a sketch and thumbnails, before transferring them to digital work.

I began my career in Sri Lanka as an Illustrator and marker renderer before being trained to become one of the youngest Art Directors at JWT and later McCann Erickson Colombo. I have worked on such well-known brands as Nestlé, Unilever and Coca Cola. Upon moving to Canada, I joined Letraset Canada as a Sales Associate before being promoted to Senior Graphic Designer, developing all in-house creative for the next 5 years. I then joined DMB&B as an Art Director for their first ever digital studio, where I was responsible for the production of all creative media including newspaper advertisements for Canada’s Wonderland, Blockbuster, P&G and Burger King before branching out on my own to offer the same services through Graphiti Designs.
