Raji's biggest strength is the ability to get the big idea across visually and verbally through print and other media, with the use of strong design and presentation skills. He adapts quickly to new environments and solves problems efficiently, thriving under high-pressure conditions to meet deadlines of the fast-paced design industry. His strengths lie in his typographic ability and excellent compositional skills. He has extensive practical knowledge of Macintosh-based systems and related software. A talented artist who possesses traditional drawing and rendering skills, Raji starts his design process with a sketch and thumbnails, before transferring them to digital work.
He began his career in Sri Lanka as an Illustrator and marker renderer before being trained to become one of the youngest Art Directors at JWT and later McCann Erickson Colombo. He worked on such well-known brands as Nestlé, Unilever and Coca Cola. Upon moving to Canada, Raji joined Letraset Canada as a Senior Graphic Designer, developing all in-house creative for the next 5 years. He then joined DMB&B's first ever digital studio as an Art Director where he was responsible for all the creative media including newspaper advertisements for Canada’s Wonderland, Blockbuster, P&G and Burger King before branching out on his own to offer his services through Graphiti Designs.
